Sexy new line launches, throws raging party

Luxury sex toy manufacturer Vida Internationale officially launched last night with a party at Voyeur nightclub in West Hollywood,Calif.

The event was hosted by mainstream actress Sofia Vergara, who currently stars in ABC’s “Modern Family,” and featured a live performance by Robin Thicke with DJ Jus Ske spinning music throughout the night.

The Voyeur venue was lavishly decorated; with masked, topless women posing, dancing and dangling from the ceiling.

Videos of the Essence of Pleasure line played continuously in the background as the line’s four vibrators were on display.

Gerardo Ramos, the developer of Vida’s new line said that each vibe’s name is a word derived from various languages from around the globe — old and new — that describe quintessential needs for sexual pleasure.

Lussuria is Lust; Zara is Aim; Vanta is Want; and Urja is Orgasm.

The company’s slogan “Sex is Life” also applies to the line’s concept.

“Vida means life and the line’s four vibes represents the four elements of life — earth, fire, water and air,” Ramos said. “The four dots that create the ‘i’ in Vida’s logo represent that too. It was all part of the concept.”

A sales rep said that the company strives to be earth-friendly. The vibes are mercury-free, cadmium-free and phthalates-free. They also are rechargeable and crafted from anodized aluminum and silicone.

Pollack said the line was designed with consideration to the contours of a woman’s body.

“Vida Internationale targets the discerning woman who is willing to take charge of her sexuality,” she said. “She makes an above average income yet is savvy when it comes to saving money and getting a good value for her money.

“The concept behind Vida began with a simple mission to make luxury pleasure objects that are priced right — because every woman deserves to experience affordable pleasure.”

Vida’s line comes in a leather train case tote with an embroidered Vida logo that includes a soft storage bag. Packaging also includes a catalog of Vida’s Essence of Pleasure line, plus detailed care and usage instructions.

A Vida Internationale sales representative said that the goal of the company is for its line to transcend into the mainstream.

The company’s aim was apparent with some of mainstream’s pop culture stars in attendance at the launch party. Guests included the entire cast of MTV’s “Jersey Shore,” actor Shane West and model, actress Carmen Electra and Lindsay Lohan, among several others.

Batteries not included.

funfactoryI hate batteries.

They’re rarely included with vibrators and even when they are — they die! Even the longest-lasting battery will eventually die and it’s always unexpected… ugh. One of my biggest pet peeves is when the battery in my vibe begins to die. Slowly, vibration turns dull and teases my clit in a very cruel way!

Fun Factory has released an innovative recharger — the Fun Magnetic Plug — that magnetically re-ups the power on any of the company’s new Click ‘N’ Charge vibrators by simply lining up the plug’s metallic contact point with the magnetic surface located under the toy’s logo. Unlike other rechargeable Fun Factory vibes that require a base to recharge — the Fun Magnetic Plug is much more discrete.

Fun Factory currently lists five vibrators that are equipped with this new technology:

The Delight is designed to offer both external and G-spot stimulation. Its Royal Curl gives the vibe a curved end that reaches the G-spot, while its slight bulge tickles other areas.

The rechargeable BiMiNi Ocean also has been released along with the BiMiNi Flash. The Flash features two pleasure tips for clit and vaginal stimulation. Its small size and bud shape allows for easy insertion, making it an ideal beginner vibe.

The miniVIBES Bubbles vibrator features an asymmetrical design that looks like a stack of soap bubbles. The silicone vibe also is waterproof.

The miniVIBE Spring features a floral design that offers a smooth surface for all-over stimulation, as well as pinpointing specific spots through the protruding flowers.

Fun Factory vibes come in fun, vibrant colors and exciting shapes that are smooth to the touch. Being environmentally friendly adds a whole other level of attractiveness.

Beat It, Allergies

spartacusAllergy-prone BDSM fans rejoice! Spartacus Leathers has released a new group of leather fetish items that feature nickel-free hardware and silicone balls.

The new hardware allows men with nickel allergies to use Spartacus’ array of cock-play products.

Silicone, a hypoallergenic material, is also many times preferred over rubber because of its many benefits. Silicone is pliable, durable and hygienic (you can clean it by boiling for up to 10 minutes or wash with water and soap — it’s even dishwasher-safe!) Spartacus’ ball gags are odorless and tasteless. They are also now equipped with a nickel-free snap-off piece of washable fabric, taking cleanliness to a whole other level.

The new hardware has been added to six of Spartacus’ products: The Oiltan C Ring, Six-Speed C Ring with Six Snaps, Multispeed Vibrating Leather C Ring, Interchangeable Dual Nitrile C Ring Set, T-Style Ball Divider — Oiltan and V-Style Ball Divider — Oiltan.

According to Spartacus President Stephen Bergquist, nickel-plated metal has been banned in many European countries for quite some time. Yikes!

I don’t know about you, but in my BDSM play I want my skin to be red from lashings not allergies.

Good looking out Spartacus.

Toys Are Your Friend

I hear countless stories about dudes who are threatened by sex toys.

rabbitCommon quote-worthy comments:

  • “My chick doesn’t need that.”
  • “A real man doesn’t need a toy to make his chick cum”
  • “She’s gonna love that rabbit more than me.”

Sure, sex toys are fun to use solo, but that DOESN’T mean they’re made to be penis/tongue/boyfriend replacements. In fact, they’re sometimes more fun to use in groups of two or more, and it’s not just for the ladies to enjoy. Think of them as sex tools, not sex substitutes.

VIBRATORS – Teasing is stellar foreplay. A vibrator can tingle parts of your body you’d never think to touch and set your mind into sex-mode fast. Run it along the neck, collarbone, inner thighs and forearms — add some lube and the buzzing sensation feels quite nice on and around the balls, taint and penis. When it’s time to get down to business, don’t put it away just yet. Vibing on the clit makes orgasms cum come quicker.

DILDOS - Using dildos in the bedroom isn’t reserved only for our lesbian friends. Sure, you’ve got a working cock, and that’s great — when we’re fucking. The best oral sex I’ve ever had was from a guy who used his right hand to prop himself up and his left to slowly (and then faster, faster, faster) fuck me with a dildo. It sounds comcockringplicated, but it’s not rocket science. I came hard and fast every time, and he felt like a hero.

COCKRINGS – Cockrings aren’t just for men who “can’t keep it up.” These stretchy rings have come a long way, and now there are designs on the market that not only help keep him harder longer, but also feature little vibrators that hit the clit each time he thrusts. It’s a win-win situation, so even if you don’t “need” a cockring, there’s still reason to give one a try. And don’t be scared — cockrings aren’t supposed to feel tight, and your nuts aren’t going to fall off if you wear it for 15 minutes. If it’s uncomfortable, go buy a bigger size and give yourself a high-5 when she’s not looking.

There are way too many toys to list here, so I suggest you check out the options online and see what catches your eye. But remember: Much like lube isn’t for defective vaginas, vibrators, dildos and other toys aren’t made to replace inadequate lovers.

DJ_BulletIf you’re convinced otherwise, call me when you get some confidence and a clue. It’s sex. Loosen up a little; it makes it easier to enjoy the ride. Besides, everyone knows real men are good with their hands and know their way around a tool toy box.

Going Green

FrenchLetter-condomsIt never occurred to me that “going green” was something I could translate into my sex life — focus people, get your heads out of that gutter — until I came across a brand of adorable (yes, I said adorable) condoms that not only girl-ify the traditionally masculine contraceptive, but are made of Fair Trade latex.

This means that purchasing Fair Trade certified condoms like these help provide higher wages and improved working conditions for the rubber tappers who collect the natural material used to manufacture them.green-plant

Natural latex rubber comes from rubber trees found in tropical rainforests, as well as areas of South Asia where man-made plantations grow the trees specifically for industrial purposes. Workers slice into each tree and collect the white goo that oozes out, which is later used to create all kinds of products.

They’re not cheap by any means, but if you’ve already been buying Fair Trade coffee, chocolate and tea tree oil body wash, there’s no reason why you shouldn’t add Fair Trade condoms to your grocery list.

Speechless (literally)

So I’m all for trying new things. I learned to surf last week, attempted to crochet, and recently tasted snails at a tapas bar.

Here’s a new thing I might need a few cocktails before trying: The Ballz Gag.stockroom_ballsgag

Click here if you wanna see the Ballz Gag in action. (Absolutely positively NSFW.)scared_woman

Submission is not my cup of bedroom tea (usually) but if I had a pair of balls I’d absolutely strap one of these onto my sex slave and enjoy the ride.

I’d also be kind enough to manscape beforehand. If only everyone could be so considerate.

Sex Budget?

There’s an online sex shop(pe) based in the U.K. that has spent a lot of time and effort to find out how much money its citizens spend on sex. They even mapped out each region’s spending patterns, which allows users to type in their favorite city to find out how “sexy” its residents are.

UKSexMap

LoveHoney.co.uk found that Upminster is “Britain’s sexiest town” — spending 15 times the $11 national average on bondage gear — and that Essex adults spend more than $117 a year on their sex lives, 11 times more than the average chap.

And apparently the entire continent spends more than $520 million a year on sex. For those of you skeptical about how LoveHoney came up with these numbers, visit UKSexMap.co.uk and be ready to be impressed.

I’d love to see someone attempt to map out the U.S. But the “sexiest” things anyone here will admit to buying are organic toothpaste and gym memberships.

Heaven forbid Americans have a lot of sex and be proud of it!

On that note, I’m gonna see how much flights to Essex are. I’m sure there’s a lot of sight-seeing to do there.

BRB

excited womanI was just going to post something very important and sex-related, but I got distracted by a shiny email from Babeland.com that says their Labor Day sale has started.

Why is this important?

It means all sale items, which are already pretty cheap, are 70% off.

Like shoes, earrings and cocktails — a lady can never have too many [sex] toys.

Gotta go, back later. Maybe.

JeJoue = JeJoy

The SaSiJeJoue means “I play” en français, and (how clever!) also is the name of a British company that makes one of the most technologically advanced sex toys on the planet. The SaSi is the only product made to truly mimic cunnilingus (that’s the four-syllable technical term for “pussy-eating”) and has a special motor connected to a rollerball that moves up, down and all around underneath a smooth silicone sleeve that, with lube, feels — for lack of a better description — pretty fucking amazing.

The G-KiWell I just got a special preview of JeJoue’s newest product, the G-Ki, and its inventor (an adorable gentleman with an accent that melts butter) has managed to develop a rechargeable vibrator that, using hidden “joints,” can be bent and maneuvered to fit all the different-shaped vaginas (and anuses if you’re daring) of the world. It’s still in its testing phase (yeah, hello, where do I sign up?) but should be available this fall. Get pumped.
